What to say, I'm 40 and getting and MFA in Writing for Young People. Way back when, I worked as an IT manager until motherhood pulled me out of my fancy suits and Jimmy Choos. I live in Bangkok Thailand with my husband, two kids and seventy-eight year old father. But me and Lesley University's low res MFA program, it was meant to be, Its given me a community of creative coolness that feels so much like a long lost home.

About Me

Elley P Johnson: Bangkok, Thailand; I'm a writer and a mother and an expat living overseas. I am also an MFA student at Lesley University with a focus on Writing for Young People. BA Anthropology from University of Pittsburgh, TESOL Certified: ESL for Children, English Writing for ESL/EFL learners, and ESL/EFL Business English, MFA Writing for Young People (1/2 way there) from Lesley University. I write about everything. Sweating in Bangkok, travel essays, and the trials of motherhood overseas. I am currently working on (among other things) a travel piece detailing where and when my kids have vomited on me around the world.
